Third edition of Spirometry Simplified in Singapore marks record participation

IPCRG's Spirometry Simplified programme seeks to address the under-diagnosis of chronic respiratory disease by empowering primary care clinicians worldwide to adopt spirometry. After the pilot edition in Athens in 2024, this year has been a great year for Spirometry Simplified. Following the Brașov edition, which welcomed delegates from Romania, North Macedonia, India and Portugal, the third edition took place this summer in Singapore, expanding the international reach of the programme.
After a four-week self-paced e-learning programme, on 23 August we held our largest Spirometry Simplified masterclass so far in Singapore, in collaboration with our Associate Member organisation SingHealth Polyclinics and with invaluable support from Dr Lifeng Zheng (member of the IPCRG Education Subcommittee) and Dr Tan Ngiap Chuan. The IPCRG faculty team included Sundeep Salvi, Lindsay Zurba and Ee Ming Khoo. The masterclass welcomed 30 particpants, including nurses among the learners for the first time.
The fourth edition of Spirometry Simplified is already in preparation and will take place during the upcoming IPCRG World Conference in Tunis. It will be the first bilingual edition (English and French) and will mark an important milestone, bringing the programme to a cumulative total of 100 certified learners.
