Nature Partner Journals Primary Care Respiratory Medicine (npj PCRM)

Official IPCRG journal npj Primary Care Respiratory Medicine

npj Primary Care Respiratory Medicine is an open access, online-only, multidisciplinary journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in all areas of the primary care management of respiratory and respiratory-related allergic diseases. Papers published by the journal represent important advances of significance to specialists within the fields of primary care and respiratory medicine.

IPCRG assumed ownership of npjPCRM in January 2025, making it the official journal of IPCRG and its 41 members, including the journal founder, PCRS-UK. It continues to be published by Springer Nature and is part of the Nature Partner Journals series, committed to rapid dissemination to a global audience of high quality research that reflects IPCRG’s vision “A global population breathing and feeling well through universal access to right care”.

In June, the journal's Impact Factor was upgraded to a strong 4.7, placing it in the top quartile of both primary care and respiratory medicine journals. José Luis Castro, the WHO Director-General Special Envoy for Chronic Respiratory Diseases, stated "For researchers, clinicians, and policymakers working to improve respiratory outcomes, this journal offers timely, peer-reviewed insights into what works—and how it can be implemented at scale."
