A celebration of Asthma Right Care

In December 2021 the Asthma Right Care Delivery Team met to celebrate progress so far and look ahead to the projects and activities planned for 2022.

We remembered the videos produced about Asthma RIght Care and celebrated the Latin American Teacher the Teacher event, publications and abstracts and other key project milestones including the expansion of Asthma Right Care into 17 countries involving family doctors, GPs, pharmacists, nurses, emergency department doctors and patients.

We looked forward to Asthma Right Care at the IPCRG 11th World Conference in Málaga, with a stand and symposia planned. A new Asthma Right Care Implementation course has been developed for new countries and the first delvery starts in February 2022. We are also planning other workshops later in the year.

The community pharmacists: Darush Attar-Zadeh, Ema Paulino, Debbie Rigby, Francesc Moranta Ribas and Garry MacDonald. They have worked hard in their countries, networking with their pharmacist societies and internationally, including with FIP (International Federation of Pharmacists).

Asthma Right Care champion prize

Mar Martinez who understands that Asthma Right Care is about finding and inspiring followers. She role models this every day and thinks about how to tell the story.

Reliever Reliance Test implementer prize

Darush and North West London pharmacists for their work on testing the implementation of the Reliever Reliance Test.

Asthma Right Care strategic approach prize

GRESP, our Portugese group, has organised their delivery team and use their resources to engage a wide network and communicate Asthma Right Care effectively to primary care.

Asthma Right Care quality improver

Katherine Hickman and her workshop on Tiny Habits, an approach to behaviour change which she presented to the Asthma Right Care delivery team. Katherine is implementing this in her practice to suggest steps her team and patients can make to move towards Asthma Right Care.
