FRESHAIR4Life rolls out social media campaigns worldwide to address youth exposure to tobacco and air pollution

24 Sep 2025

The four-year FRESHAIR4Life programme is entering a crucial phase with the launch of social media campaigns co-developed by young people and the research teams in each of the participating countries (Pakistan, Greece, Romania, Uganda and Kyrgyzstan).

The Pakistani team has released a powerful series of awareness videos intended to engage young people and spark discussions about how air pollution affects health. The first two videos are now live and have together exceeded 10,000 views:

IPCRG has led capacity-building efforts by designing an e-learning course on social media campaigns for health promotion, and has supported the Pakistani team with video development and scripting. Greece, Uganda, and Kyrgyzstan will be launching their campaigns at the end of September; their focus will be on reducing exposure to air pollution and tobacco smoke.

Follow further updates and messages from the campaign via The Initiative's social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).
