Our Argentinian group attracted TV coverage to promote its message on World Asthma Day. It is also running an asthma detection campaign with an asthma patients association, and has formed connections with family doctors and specialists in Uruguay to develop the Asthma Right Care movement there. Additionally, it is preparing for Tier 3 Teach the Teacher workshops in the Jujuy province in July.
Brazil
The Brazilian group's asthma friendly city strategy launched in Joinville with a workshop in May, following its presentation in April to the new municipal administration of Guarulhos and the delivery of the first 'star plaque'. The next steps for the development of this project are to establish steering committees, working groups and to establish monitoring indicators.
India
The first Asthma Right Care implementation programme was delivered in February. This CME-accredited workshop for clinicians was hosted in collaboration with charitable hospitals in Pune, and also featured COPD Right Care materials and a spirometry demonstration. The workshop employed a novel gamified use of our asthma diagnosis jigsaw model. The programme was warmly recieved with attendees saying it was inclusive, interactive and engaging, and that it helped to unmarks the reality of misunderstandings and misconceptions in asthma and COPD care in an unintimidating, encouraging manner.
Kyrgyzstan
Our colleagues in Kyrgyzstan have been testing and adapting Asthma Right Care resources in preparation of a design charrette in September. The group has also produced educational videos on appropriate use of inhalers, targeted at healthcare workers and patients. Finally, the group is planning a situaitonal analysis on asthma prevalence and SABA usage.

The team in North Macedonia promoted Asthma Right Care at the 6th Congress of the Macedonian Respiratory Society and 5th Congress of the Association of Pneumophysiologists of the Republic of Macedonia. Translations of IPCRG resources are currently underway, and 10 delegates attended our Spirometry Simplified masterclass in Brașov in April.
Portugal
Colleagues in Portugal continue to roll out their caminhasma (walk with asthma) initiative, with several hundred healthcare units having participated in May. New translations have been produced and additional resources have been developed for a schools project. Finally, the gamified asthma escape room model has been featured at numerous GRESP meetings and an electronic version in English is nearly ready for release.
Slovenia
Work is being undertaken by the Slovenian group to update the asthma treatment algorithm in referral clinics to help adhere to Right Care principles. Additionally, national colleagues participated in a 'Heart, kidney, lungs' capacity-building educational event.
